He ran and cried his way through his first full lap, trying to keep up with his older brother, Andrew. A dozen years and many laps later, he transformed himself into one of Michigan’s most elite runners with sound coaching from his father, Dr. William Ryan. He achieved his goal of competing as a Division I athlete at The University of Florida, but had a shortened career due to injuries. He transferred to Michigan State University after his Sophomore year as a “civilian,” where he took his fitness to new heights by putting on 40lbs of muscle through his own programming. He graduated from Michigan State University with a dual degree in Economics and International Relations in 2003.After college and a short jaunt in the corporate world, he joined his brother and a childhood friend in South Florida in owning, operating and growing four successful businesses. He still trained at high levels while running his businesses and working long hours. He was even competitive in several triathlons. After successfully selling his franchises, Chris moved to Austin, Texas where he fell in love with the Sport of Fitness, aka CrossFit, and enjoyed success as an Individual Regional Level competitor in 2012.A chance photo shoot for a friend in the fitness community led to contracts and agency representation for modeling with Wilhelmina and commercial and film with Don Buchwald & Associates in New York. He appears regularly in numerous magazines ranging from Men’s Fitness, Men’s Health, Men’s Journal, Women’s Health, GQ, and Cosmopolitan. He has worked with a diverse group of clients such as Under Armour, Reebok, Nike, Everlast, Cybex, Hugo Boss and Dolce & Gabbana. Chris has also appeared in commercials for various companies such as MasterCard.Chris lives in New York City with his beautiful wife, Dionisia, who shares Chris’s passion for health, fitness and nature.
