Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier, Badminton Mixed Doubles,  crashed out of the London 2012 badminton mixed double after two successive defeats in their group.  Adcock and Bankier saw their Olympic badminton bid end with a 11-21, 21-17, 21-14 defeat to Germany's Michael Fuchs and Birgit Michels. The British pair lost to Russia's Alexandr Nikolaenko and Valeria Sorokina yesterday and had to beat the Germans today in order to remain in the competition. But Adcock and Bankie were defeated in just over an hour as their Olympic dream ended in disappointment. The couple were last year's world championship runner's up.
