Sir Christopher Andrew "Superman" "The Real McHoy" Hoy, MBE is 36 years old and was born March 23, 1976. On Day 6, with Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the crowd, Sir Chris with team mates Jason Kenny, Philip Hindes, Gregory Bauge, Kevin Sireau, and Michael d'Almeida did not disappoint their royal spectators. Hoy led Great Britain's sprint track cycling team to a world record finish and his fifth gold medal.
The 6'1," 205 lbs. native of Edinburgh, Scotland has participated in every Summer Olympic Games since 2000. He began track cycling when he was 18 and is a member of the Sky Track Cycling Club, Scotland. His coach is Iain Dyer. Sir Chris names Scottish cyclist Graeme Obree as his hero. His hobbies are listening to music, watching TV, reading and catching up w/ friends in the off-season. In 2005, he received Britain's MBE (Member of the British Empire) and in 2009, was knighted by Queen Elizabeth for his contribution to British sports.
