Versatile Australian Model (and former tradie) Jacob Hankin makes quite the impression!!

Aussie Model Jacob Hankin

Jacob Hankin was a tradie (a tradesman or day labourer) in Australia when he was discovered  by the modeling world, at an outdoor music festival.  He is from Liverpool, in Western Sydney, and was hanging with his friends.  

He was approached by a scout and asked who represented him.  He was 23 and the concert was the 2013 Future Music Festival in Sydney.    

He said "I had a shaved head and was wearing my bum bag and a scout came up and asked me what agency I was with and I was like 'what are you on about' and he said 'are you a model?''' 

His friends from work, started calling him "model boy" and "Mr. Model" instantly, that day, in fact.  Since that fateful day, he has worked for some of the most prestigious fashion houses in the world. 

He has worked in a world-wide campaign for Diesel as well as walking runways for the likes of Givenchy, Ralph Lauren and Dolce & Gabbana.  He has not forgotten his friends though, who still tease him by calling  him "model boy."
