NYC/Peru: Chef Franco Noriega

Chef  and hot model Franco Noriega  opened Baby Brasa, a buzzed about restaurant in New York City's Lower East Side serving authentic Peruvian rotisserie chicken, quinoa salads and Italian Beer.

Why is this restaurant getting so much attention?

Because Chef Noriega is also a model, and to say that he's attractive would be an under-statement.

A competitive swimmer for his native Peru in the 2004 Olympic Games, in Athens, he moved to New York in 2007 to pursue an acting and modeling career.  He was "discovered" and became quite successful.

A few years ago he decided to attend culinary school in New York, having previously attended the Cordon Bleu in Paris.  His family owns a chain of bakeries in Peru, and he already co-owns two restaurants with his sister in South America.

He maintains a physique "good enough to eat" by skate-boarding, and working out, a lot.  His eatery, which itself has become a sizzling commodity, or at least buzz-worthy, serves healthy, but hearty, cuisine.

Baby Brasa opened last Summer, and immediately garnered great press, including this coverage in British GQ

Visit Baby Brasa here, but be ready to be hungry
