Rio 2016 Wrestling this week!

Some years back, the International Olympics committee considered dropping wrestling as an Olympic event.  Fancy that, a sport in the ancient Olympics and in modern Summer games, to be dropped.  

Just shows you how out of touch the IOC can be.  
Fortunately, the decision was made to keep wrestling in... 

A very few Olympic wrestling events have been held to day.

A few medals were awarded yesterday, and there will be medal competitions every day this week:   This week watch your programming schedules for lots of events.

Olympics Preview - Boxing (Italy's Clemente Russo)

Boxing is still in the Preliminary round at the Olympics, so you still have plenty of time to catch up!

And, boxing fans will be glad to know that 2008 and 2012 silver medalist Italy's Clemente Russo is very much back in the mix this year too.  Watch for his results as the week progresses. (He boxes in a few minutes, consult your local Olympics Channel)
