NFL Champion Broncos! Punter Britton Colquitt!

Super Bowl 50 gave every sports junkie his fix on Sunday, as the Broncos came out on top in an historic defensive struggle.  Peyton Manning, of course, gets much credit as the winning quarterback; however, most of the credit for the Broncos' scoring actually goes to the defense and special teams.  They truly made their mark in this one.

NFL Championships with Seahawks' Canadian Punter

Canadian Punter throws Touchdown Pass to lift Seahawks over the Top!

Sunday's NFL Conference Championships truly represented a study in contrasts.  The Seahawks and the Packers gave us non-stop thrills and spills, including a nail-biting overtime finish.  

Conversely, the Patriots dispatched the Colts handily and by a margin uncharacteristic of a championship game.  Oh, well, we wouldn't want it to be too predictable, would we?!?!

And, we knew the Seahawks' punter, #9 Jon Ryan, had powerful legs.  We found out Sunday his upper body is powerful too, as he threw the fake field goal touchdown pass that started the Seahawks' rally.  

Note too, for the record, that this was the first time in NFL history that a punter had performed this feat in a playoff game ... wow!
